Fortunately, it is a virtuous circle!

When you see people are happy and positively impacted by your work (like I was with the article you wrote), it is like a drug. You need to do more for them, help them more, make them happier.

I went from being a world-class weed-smoker beer-drinker lazy-a*s consumer, to a writer, blogger, entrepreneur, and event organizer with a keto-diet and iron discipline.

Make it a tiny habit to produce at least ONE thing per day for others (a tweet, asking someone how they're doing, organizing a brunch with your friends) and without realizing it, you will shift your mindset towards "what can I do for others today" instead of "what can I consume".

Journaling and setting goals like you do also help.
