"I happen to agree with Robert Sapolsky and his thesis that there is no free will, but that doesn't mean we don't have choices.": it's one or the other; we either have choices, or we don't.
"I we do need to create better programs to address people falling through the cracks,": to do that, we should start having a real discussion about the roots of socio-economic inequalities, which is what this article was written for.
