Huh? I think quite the opposite.

Female characters are always welcome by both male and female audience while men and everything they represent and like is labeled under "toxic masculinity".

How many movies with male characters have been replaced with female characters, from the Ocean's series to Ghostbusters?

Even strong male characters now need to be androgyn and "in touch with with their feelings". The last james bond was a simp, current napoleon is a simp too. The male role models are tom holland and timothee chamalet, two young short skinny dudes with high-pitched voices symbolizing the submission of the masculine to the feminine.

The mainstream narrative went as far as feminizing explicitely male video games (gamergate).

This article cant be taken seriously

Current western society is so female-centric and hateful toward men that they made a whole movie (barbie) to explain how men suck.

What was the tagline again? "She's everything. He's just Ken".

Maybe citicisms about your female characters aren't about "women in general" as they are about...well, your characters.

Plenty of male characters are criticized too.

I shall finish with the observation (confirmed in the literatture) that the overwhelming volume of critics about the female identity and lifestyle does not come from men (who don't care about that): it comes from other women.
