I see you are actually serious, so I will answer.

Let's take digital nomads as an example.

If:

1. The country has lots of real estate vacancies

2. Produces enough food and energy

(Eg: Spain)

Then the benefits is net positive.

This is why countries like Spain and Croatia have created Digital Nomad visas.

But the situation isn't the same everyone in Spain. I am sure that localities around Valencia will be happy to have them.

But definitely not Barcelona.

When too many people with a disproportionally higher salary movesinto a country already lacking resources and infrastructures (like Barcelona, for infrastructures at least), the benefit is net negative.

Basically, it creates inflation and a lack of everything.

Philipp from accounting must move out because his landlord wants to create an airbnb.
