My parents were very strict with me like you are with your daughter, but that never discouraged me from doing what i wanted to do. The barriers were just higher, and in a way, it was fun to outsmart them.

You can't control people. I still dont understand why parents dont understand that their kids are not their proprierty. Let your daughter be and make mistakes. That's how you learn.
