The book starts in Florida in 1987.
Dan’s dad, Paul Bilzerian, was going to prison.
Paul was a corporate takeover specialist persuaded he was operating within the boundaries of the law.
When the judges decided otherwise, they sentenced him to 4 years.
Dan was 7, his brother was 5.
That left a huge mark on Dan.
He was already bullied in school and this event only made the mockeries worse.
