The Roman Empire was present all over Europe, but none of the places I have highlighted in another color than orange are still Roman by culture.

Istanbul may have been called Constantinople, a Roman Christian city...it is now called Istanbul, a Turkish Muslim city.

Only in the countries I have highlighted has Roman culture survived.
